This is my 7th year of teaching kindergarten and my 2nd year here at WES. I am thrilled to be here! Please check your email regularly as well as your child's green take home folder that will come home on Fridays, as they will include our weekly news letter, updates and important reminders.
Our kindergarten program is designed to offer a balance of intentional instruction, open exploration, and choice times. While there are specific skills that are part of the kindergarten curriculum, much of children's learning at this age, particularly the development of social skills, takes place through exploration and play. We are also very lucky to have a buddy classroom as well as our amazing Wednesday ECO program.

There is no official homework in our kindergarten. Your children are wonderfully adept at practicing skills on their own through play. However, below is a link to a document that I have created to support your child's learning at home.
